Eileen Tanghal Named One of Venture Capital Journal’s 2026 Women of Influence

Congratulations to our Co-founder and Managing Director, Eileen Tanghal, on being named one of Venture Capital Journal’s 2026 Women of Influence in venture capital.
Venture Capital Journal recognized Eileen for nearly 25 years of identifying industry-transforming technologies, her deep-tech expertise built at ARM and Applied Ventures, and her work with senators and presidential advisers on the $280 billion CHIPS and Science Act. Her peers credit her with helping shape “a better venture ecosystem,” reflecting her longtime advocacy for women in VC and her active mentorship across the industry.
In 2021, Eileen recruited her MIT classmate Dr. Tara Bishop to co-found Black Opal Ventures. We’re proud to see her leadership recognized.
